One nice thing about living in town is nearby parks to take the kids to. We always had a few options but they were always a bit of a walk. This is our new park just down the road! It used to be just a swing set so we never went to it cause my kids aren't big swingers. But they ripped it all out and put this huge park in! It took a couple weeks and Owen spent a lot of time at the front window watching the big trucks go by with loads of dirt, mulch, sand, and sod. We have been watching them work and waiting for opening day! That came this past Friday and we were excited to take the 2 minute walk down the road to a brand new park! I think we will be spending lots of time there, we've already been there every day since. It has two stages, one that Emma can climb and slide down and another one for bigger kids (it also has a row of swings not seen in this picture).
Owen is at a nice age and can do almost everything at the park! (just not the monkey bars cause he is too short)
Love the new style of teeter totters- just one kid can sit on it and bounce because of the springs in the middle it doesn't slam down. Emma loved it and spent most of the time just sitting on one end, patiently waiting for a kid to come and bounce her up (some neighbour kids obliged her).
He loves it and as soon as he wakes up in the morning asks when we are going to his new park.
We love our neighbourhood - quiet streets we love to walk up and down (lots of hills for a good workout), a really old cemetery we love to walk through and now its complete with an awesome park!
That's a super park! How convenient! I love those round swings, but I haven't seen many of them.
