Emma turned 1 yesterday!
On Saturday, we had a birthday party for her. Two Grandpas, two Grandmas, two cousins and us. Small but very nice. We had a busy week watching Owen's two cousins for the week so it was nice to have a small group and still have a great time. It was also our 6th wedding anniversary so that was another thing to be thankful for!
I love to dress her up, I made her this tutu and crown and it was so fun. She was quite proud of herself and was showing off! I wish I got video of her walking out and showing off her outfit cause it was priceless.
Owen, Emma and cousins Lindsay and Abby- their playmates for the week.
She got some baby dolls for her birthday! I spoiled her a bit... I got her the doll and then saw the Lamaze cowgirl at Winners and thought she was so precious so I couldn't resist! Plus some foam building blocks and one of our favourite books to read.
Eating cake with her two Grandmas!
Birthday breakfast! Crepe's with syrup and a candle to blow! Because we had her birthday the day before I still wanted to do something special on her birthday so we had a yummy breakfast!
Then off to church to witness a niece profess her faith. I ran into a girl in the babysit (this was at John's sister's church) who recognized me and said she remembered that she saw me a year ago walking the halls of the labour ward! She had a baby girl the day before and was in her room and watched me for hours walk up and down the halls! I was just remembering those hours myself- my water had broken but labour hadn't progressed so I had to walk and walk and walk (eventually was induced). It was neat to see her and she had a baby girl the day before named Emmalynn. Small world!
It was a busy Sunday but we had some time just before bed to play outside and enjoy the time together!
