Ah, a table runner!

If you had told me when I woke up this morning that I would be making a table runner I would have said you are crazy, I can't make one of those! But I did today. It was random, it was miserable outside and Owen was whiny cause he was sick so I let him watch a video (he doesnt' get to often) and what should I do... lets make a table runner! I searched online and found some ideas but nothing that I was really looking for... I have been wanting to buy a new tablecloth lately cause I don't seem to have one for this time of year but I didn't want to spend money on one so I was putting it off. I didn't use a pattern, I just remembered one my sister-in-law had so I thought I could do something similar. Here is how it turned out:

It cost me $0. I used all leftover fabric that I have collected over the years. You can do it too! The main piece is 30x13 and each square was 5x4. You just sew it all together and voila! (and there is a neutral colour fabric on the whole back). It was so easy and I love it, I just might become obsessed and make one for every season...
